A WALL OF PRAYER

The heartbeat of the ministry of my sister, Kyla Rowland, is to revive and encourage those women to whom God, the Holy Spirit has burdened and convicted to pray. God has chosen her song, "Wall of Prayer", to impact and give focus to the Rowlands Ministry. Satan, by his own admission, is going to and fro in the earth, seeking whom he may devour.

I'm happy to report today that this "Wall of Prayer" is a fortress inaccessible to our adversary, the devil. That God allowed Kyla and I to personally witness a troop of burdened and convicted prayer warriors, who found favor in the eyes of the lord, to pray a wall, a hedge, a fortress of grace and mercy around that one facing a trial of their faith, and around a nation questioning who God is.

This project is dedicated to those few saints of God who had access to the ear of God. Eulalia Martin, Cleo Vineyard, Aquilla Martin, Kyla Rowland, Doris Faith, Charity Kerr, Maxine Calicutt, Della Lovin, Tazewell Mother, Edna Hatfield, Rosie Moon, Loni Vann, May Vann, Rebecca Ivey, Irene Buckner, Miss Myrtle, Aunt Rachel Jones and so many others that could be honored.

I love annointed preaching. I love annointed singing. I love annointed testimony, but annointed praying touches my heart and ushers me into His presence like nothing else can. If the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man in truth and fact really does avail and profit much, then why do so few have access to the ear of God?

Isaiah 59:1-2 tells us why:

1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

The real, true prayer warrior's only desire is that the words of their mouth and the meditation of their heart be acceptable in God's sight. They do not ask amiss; they don't consume their prayer upon their own lust; they have a faith garnished with a contrite heart (sorry for their sin) and an humble spirit (surrendered to God's will). I believe, standing on the word of God, that a saint whose affection is to be accepted by God will hear that still, small voice say, "You have my ear; ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you."

Sometimes a wall of grace, sometimes a wall of faith
Other times it's sweet mercy that I need
But the one for which I long, it makes all the others strong
I need a wall of prayer surrounding me

Isaiah 57:15

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
